Urban Decay - The Naked Palettes

Ahh where do I begin with these 4 wee beauties!?

First off - I don't use any other brand of eyeshadows now but ones from Urban Decay. I have used Urban Decay eyeshadows since I was 15. And although I have tried other brands - nothing can compare to the quality and pigmentation of 'UD' eyeshadows.
So when each of these palettes came out - I grabbed them asap!
There are currently 3 versions of the Urban Decay Naked Palette: 1, 2 & 3

Naked 1:
This palette has a 'golden/warm' undertone to each shadow.
There are several gold and brown based colours, each complementing each other. The first two colours 'Virgin' and 'Sin' are gorgeous browbone highlight colours. 'Naked' and 'Buck' are the only two matte colours in this set, which both work are lovely crease/transitional colours. 'Half Baked', 'Smog' and 'Toasted' are stunning golden colours, with 'Darkhorse' and 'Hustle' are deep brown shades. 'Creep' is a light black, with subtle shimmer and 'Gunmetal' is a warm blue based grey. Out of all 3 - I use this palette the least - only because I prefer more cooler colours.

Naked 2:
This palette consists of much 'cooler/taupe' undertone colours.
There is a duplicate shadow 'Half Baked' that reappears from the Naked 1 palette in this set. There are 3 matte colours - 'Foxy' is a yellow toned cream colour - gorgeous as a base shadow, 'Tease' is a purple/taupe colour which works amazingly as a crease/transitional colour. And 'Blackout' as the names suggests is a strong matte black, which works brilliant as both an eyeliner and to deepen up the outside crease. 'Half Baked', 'Chopper', 'Suspect' and 'YDK' are gold toned and have simmer in them - all are beautiful for all over the eyelids.  'Snakebite' and 'Busted' are gorgeous deep browns, with a satin finish. 'Pistol' is a rusty grey and 'Verve' which is a bright, sparkly silver 'Bootycall' works great as a browbone highlight. As you can see, I have hit pan on a few colours. I used this palette a lot and find more use out of this compared to the first one.

Naked 3:
These colours are rose gold and pink toned, which are more softer.
There are again 3 matte colours; 'Strange' which is the perfect nude colour, with 'Limit' and 'Nooner' both pinky/taupey colours, that I use all the time for blending into the crease. 'Dust', 'Burnout' and 'Buzz' are all strong pink based colours, that are very glittery. 'Trick' is a very sheer gold toned colour, which looked lovely over the other colours to add dimension. 'Liar', 'Factory' 'Mugshot' and 'Darkside' are luscious deep taupe toned colours that are wonderful for creating smokey eyes. 'Blackheart' is a stunning shade! It is brown/black based but has pink/gold flecks of glitter through it. very unique! This is my 'newest' palette out of all of them. I can see myself getting the most use out of this one overall and reach for it on a daily basis.

Although the full palettes are pricey at £37 each, these make brilliant gifts (I got the full palettes as either a birthday or christmas presents) and are certainly a worthwhile investment.
I promise you that, once you get any of these palettes, you will not want to use any other eyeshadow every again, as these are so handy and versatile. You can create so many different eye looks with any one of the palettes - or even mix and match from all the shades!
If I were to recommend just one palette - I would say go with the 'Naked 2' as it has the most variety of colours with an even mix of warm and cool toned shades and the colours would suit any skintone or hair/eyecolour.
